If you want the airport, I think there is another coupon for $5 off a $19.99 or higher FP item, so it would be $15. :)

We have the nativity from 4 years ago...DD still asked if she could use it this Christmas and she is 5.5...

We have that airport and love it and have bought it for gifts as well. It actually comes with an appropriately sized airplane and helicopter. The big FP airplane wouldn't fit on the runway. HTH.

I bought this one last year so my dd's would stop fighting over baby Jesus. Just so you know the stable is smaller and it doesn't play music and light up. I was a little disappointed by that because that is soemthing my dd loved some much about our first one.

I bought the one from the FP site. It was more expensive, but is Biblically accurate, so I opted for it. The Target model has the 3 wisemen, but no shepherds. The one on the FB site is just the opposite, and I've seen other sets too with a mixture.

Scripture teaches that the shepherds came to the stable right after the birth. The wisemen came to the child's home. Extra Biblical texts indicate that the wisemen actually visited Jesus in his home when he was around 2 or so.

I purchased the wisemen and 1 camel separately from ebay so my GS could play with all of them. When I tell the storyin my preschool class, I have the wisemen "coming from afar" so that the children learn that they were not there at his birth.

I also prefer the one with the singing angel as I think it really adds to the fun of the set.

It doesn't light up OR play music?! Mine was OOS. At first the guy said they weren't giving rainchecks, but when I pressed him to make certain, he did produce a raincheck for me. Not sure if I want it if it doesn't light up/play music.

hrm... if it's a good set, it might still come to live here. my cashier said they would be restocking until deals change on thursday- so there is luck if you store was out, i'm guessing. mine was out of the nativity. maybe i'll try a different store tomorrow?

we went to 2 Targets tonight and nativity set was sold out. :( they had tons of the airport set but nativity was long gone. DH is gonna try another target later tonight after DS is in bed.

thanks. though what's crazy is that in my area these are running out faster than the inventory can be updated! at the first target we went to (and they were out) we asked an employee and he checked the other targets stock for it. one target nearby supposedly had 2 in stock, but he warned they only update the inventory list every 3 hours. we went over to this other target immediately and there were none left. i just went online and checked the of both stores we went to today, and for both it says it is available..so i guess they were bought recently but haven't updated. all other stores within 15mi radius are out of stock. crazy cuz the airport (which seems to be a better deal, given u can use the $5 off coupon too) is not sold out at all..at both stores we saw there were dozens still on the shelves.

ETA: yay, dh went out to yet another target and managed to snag one! woo! doesn't bother me that it doens't light up or play music, we plan on having it by the christmas tree anyway

I went to my local target & there were several nativity sets. They don't seem to light up or play music (like the other fisher price nativity set model my son has played with at a church friend's home). The target link of the product is misleading though b/c it says that it comes with batteries. Still, it's a great price for the nativity set!

Yes, it was funny, last year I was on the hunt for the FP nativity set and there were many baby Jesus' on Ebay. Must be common to lose him.

I went to a 2nd Target today b/c last night there were supposedly 2 at this one. I wasn't super hopeful, though, b/c I know it takes awhile for inventory to be updated. They didn't have it. The SA said it is a super popular item every year, and they should have more coming in. I have a raincheck, so hopefully it will be in in the next 2 weeks. FYI, get a raincheck if your store doesn't have it, and you can relax a little about getting it this week for the sale price. I'll be disappointed if it doesn't play music/light up though.
