Leapster, iXL, or MobiGo?

For DS1 (3.5). He's constantly taking my iPhone and I'd like for him to have something of his own.

Any thoughts on which is the best?

Oh, and if I get the Leapster, do I get the Leapster 2 or the Leapster Explorer?

I'm still deciding between the iXL and the Leapster. I eliminated the MobiGo because it does not have a stylus. My DS is great with touch screen but I feel he needs to start working on writing & the stylus would help.

Both of mine have a Leapster 2 (age 3 and 5) and they love it. Gets played with regularly. I don't know much about the explorer though.

We made the decision to go with Leapster2 -- Wal-mart BF deal of $25, fewer ads to deal with, and a larger supply of cheap games.

We have a regular leapster and the leapster imax and honestly, we don't really use the imax features (online) at all. I would go with whatever leapster you can get the best deal on.

Explorer! 100x better graphics. We had the Leapster2 and all the cheap games from lightning deals last year, but when we saw the screen on the explorer, we sent the L2 back for a refund. It has a lot more capabilities, too.
