DC and I are going over to some new friends' house for a playdate tomorrow. Since they are hosting, I told her I would bring something for the kids for a snack. I don't know them real well, so am not sure about preferences, allergies, etc.

What would you take?

I was thinking of making some mini muffins (banana maybe) and taking some chex mix or goldfish.

We had a playdate today and took pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, Annie's cheese bunny crackers, and clementines.... the tray was very orange.

If making a home made treat, I usually do Cinammon Toast Crunch bars- they are dairy and nut free. Same as rice krispie treats, but different cereal, and I sprinkle cinnamon on the top before they cool, and sometimes add colored sprinkles.

I might ask about allergies just to be sure (no chex mix or mini muffins for peanut allergies). But, I guess since the mom didn't mention it, maybe it's not an issue.

Last play date brought bagels and cream cheese. It was a hit!
