What board games/card games are popular with the 3-4yo set?

We really love Orchard (http://http://www.amazon.com/Haba-3285-Memo-Orchard-Game/dp/B0035G7AB8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1290622351&sr=8-2) here. It is a cooperative game, so we all win or loose together, which is a nice break from dealing with the disappointment of the loosing kid. My 3 year old loves it, and the 5 year old still enjoys playing, so it has a decent life span. And unlike the horror that is Chutes and Ladders, DH and I don't mind playing it a couple times in a row.

We have played Busy Town every night since we got it a month ago. We were a little late getting into board games so it might be a bore for more advanced players, but DD loves it and we don't mind it either. We are putting the other "I can do that" games on our list.

Candyland (if they are patient)

eeBoo has lots of games. We have The Birthday Party Game (there is also tea party, etc. and they are all alike in concept). My younger DD *loves* this, but I think it is duller than rocks....

My kids love Caribou Island - both the 3yo and 5yo.

Also the Candy Land Castle game. My two can play this one well by themselves without any guidance:

That's not nice, someone might buy this then go crazy because of all the quacking.

QUacking?

My son immediately loved the ducks from Lucky Ducks. The "pond" was big and awkward and disappeared without ever seeing a single battery.

my 3.5 yr old's favorites are:

zingo
candy land
memory (but she plays with all the cards face up so it is really just matching)
curious george hide and seek
cariboo
hullaballoo
operation (she plays with it off or just ignores the buzzing)
twister

i must be the crazy momma-- *I* bought my child lucky ducks and do not mind the quacking. we don't have tons of toys that make noise...but for some reason this game doesn't bug me that much. plus , my child would actually sit and take turns! we got it when lu was about 2.5 (she's almost three now and really doesn't want to play unless we ask) we did have a couple times where she turned it on and walked off with it quacking, but she doesn't really do that anymore.... ignores it more than anything.

crazy part-- my MIL got her ANOTHER lucky ducks game as part of her christmas... she saw it sitting out and thankfully did not follow her "oh, she can just have another one" initial thought.... because, even though i'm not going crazy from the quacking, i cannot see why ANYONE would need 2 of that game! :)

we played candy land yesterday, but i had to "edit" alot-- it's a LONG game when you aren't used to playing games, and the last minute "surprise" candy cane when you are about to win might be a little much for my toddler. so i took those cards out...and i had to help her move JUST her piece (eyeroll) and toward the end it was more me playing than her. i think in about 6 months the improvement would be vast though. i bought ravensburgs "first games 4 in one" deally and hope that's more her speed. (and not too too boring because it has 4 variations?) i'll let you guys know :)

dd2 (3.5 yrs) played sequence jr today. she didn't get the four in a row idea but still enjoyed it. works nicely for us because she can play with dd1. dd1 will win (she is a poor sport, can't stand loosing) and dd2 doesn't mind loosing, she just likes playing.

she also recently played go fish and did okay with it too.
