I bought a ham last night to have for dinner tomorrow. I was wondering how to cook it? It is one of those good bone in smoked hams. I don't like any sweet on my ham, just plain ole smoked flavor. Can I just put it in the oven covered up and heat it up? How will I know it is done? Thanks for any help you give me!

Just cover and bake - I love hams for that reason - they are so simple

I like a little Dijon mustard on the outside of mine, but I do mix in a bit of brown sugar sometimes...depends on my mood.

The hard part is how long to cook it for...I'd consult my Joy of Cooking or Cook's Illustrated for a guide for min/lb. It's basically already cooked, so you can only go wrong, imo if you overdo it.

Yum! We're actually having a small turkey plus a ham for our Thanksgiving this year.
