DS vomited on our family room rug, oh, 6 months ago. At that time, we just cleaned it up quickly, and then rolled it up and put it away. :bag Now that winter is here, we want to use it. I keep reading that rugs are better off being cleaned by professionals. Wondering if there is a chain of cleaners that does a good job and that uses eco-friendly, non-toxic chemicals. If not, what do I look for in our local neighborhood cleaners, and what is the typical rate for a 8x5 rug. Would really appreciate your input.

I know Chem-Dry uses eco friendly, non toxic technology for carpets and upholstery. I have no idea if they clean rugs or how much they would charge.
