Prefold question

I am switching my 6 week old from sposies to cloth. Today, we're using a Flip cover and a nice thick newborn prefold. (Folded in thirds, like an insert.) Is one enough, or should I use multiple prefolds? And how often should I change him? With sposies, we did every 2 hours.

One prefold should be plenty. Changing at least every 2 hours is excellent, but with cloth it is easy to tell when they have gone, so you may find yourself chaning more frequently because you can tell they are wet. Congrats on the switch!

I have an 8 week old and I use prefolds. One lasts 2-3 hours I've never doubled them up. I usually change her after each feeding and after each nap! Hope this helps and hope you love :love5: your prefolds as much as I love mine!

We can go 2-3 hours or until I hear an audible poo. ;) At night, DD goes for at least one 3.5-4hr stretch, and to not put her in sposies I do one PF plus an insert/doubler inside the angel wing fold. It worked great last night.
