I just POAS Monday and got my positive.

Today is Thursday and although I'm drinking a LOT more water, I'm finding my mouth very dry. Is this normal?

It was for me. And the worst part is that you have to go to the bathroom more, especially when all you want to do is sleep.

I'm finding that too (And it is just the first week!) But I think it may be because I'm drinking so much... I had a hard time drinking enough water with my DS so making an effort this time.

Just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONs! And yes, I was so much more thirsty when I was pregnant. I craved ice water. Normally I absolutely hate to chew ice but when I was pregnant I craved it.

Yes! I am thirsty as a camel. Last time however, it really picked up in the 2nd tri and as I suspected, I had GD.

Yep! I think it's your body's instinct kicking in, telling you that you need more fluids for your baby.

Congratulations on your impending little one!

I couldn't ever get enough water. I would drink right up until bedtime, even though I knew I'd have to get up in the night.

Congratulations to you!!

I was certainly more thirsty when I was pregnant and craved ice cold water all the time. And get this, I would gulp the water down like there's no tomorrow! And then choke, and DH would go, slow down, there's enough water and more! Congratulations!

Congrats! Definitely more thirsty..and it gets worse after the baby if you are nursing.

Congratulations! I don't actually remember being more thirsty while pregnant, but my midwife strongly suggested that I drink about 2 liters of water a day.

I was always thirty when I was pregnant and the only thing that seemed to quench it was milk.

Congratulations! And, yes, definitely more thirsty. This time around I'm averaging about 2.5 liters/day and still thirsty. (That's water in addition to oj and milk.) Still bfing DS 2x/day, so very thirsty.

Congratulations!! :yay: I am definitely very thirsty during this pregnancy. I think part of it is that you are gaining more blood, so you probably need more water. And all the extra food I am eating, LOL.

Congrats!

During pregnancy, your blood volume increases 30%, so you need that extra hydration!
