Could be a bitching post item, but I want some constructive help.

Yesterday I got a 20% off code from HS. Within an hr I went to use it and it did not work (actually expired the day prior, their error for sending it to me.)

I emailed CS and they said they could not do anything, other than honor $4.99 for shipping if > $50. I am annoyed, 20% off gave me more and THEY sent the email.

I ordered the stuff b/c the price was right, and I wanted to just get the items for Christmas.

Any ideas how to handle this with their Customer Service. I am mad at myself for buying the items and for PAYING for shipping.

I think you should forward the email with the code and point out the time stamp. There is no way that they should be sending out expired offers and then expecting you to cover the cost of their error.

You could call back and ask to speak to a supervisor, but I think sending the email would be more effective at pointing out that the error was on their end.

With prices like theirs, the ought to be on top of customer service.
