I'm seeing the Britax Boulevard on sale for $199 at Albeebaby. Can this be possible? Is there something wrong or less desirable about this model they are selling (like is there a newer and much better model?) If not, it seems too good to pass up, right?

It's the "older" model that only goes up to 35 lbs RF and 65 lbs FF. The new generation which came out around August, has higher weight limits.

It is a great deal, though, I'd only want to check the manufacturing date to make sure it's 2010.

I got one on Black Friday! [Actually my father ordered it as a Christmas gift for us, but I found the deal for him.] I was super pleased with the price. The manufacturing date on mine is June 2010, so no worries there.

Thanks! You guys are always so helpful. I am leaning towards getting it.

But is it worth it to get the BV 70? I see it for $247 at Amazon. Does the 5 pounds make that much of a difference?

(My little guy is 10 months, but only about the 20% at 19 pounds, but he's really outgrowing the straps on the Snugride 32, strangely. Plus, he was a preemie, and we have a lot of tall, big guys on both sides of the family so I don't know if he will stay small for always!)

For us, 5 pounds wouldn't have made a difference. DS is about 29lbs, 26 mo old and we had to turn him around in DH's truck because his legs were just too scrunched. So we had to turn around because of leg room not weight. I think the way the seats are in the second row made him not able to fold his legs comfortably.

DS is almost 3 yo, 32 lb, 36" and still happily RF in his Blvd. After 12 months weight gain slows down a LOT, so 5 pounds can easily mean another year.

FWIW - I would probably go with the new generation MA70 over the older gen BLVD65. I have a BLVD65 and it's a great seat - we love it. But, the new MA70 has the no rethread harness (which the old MA did not), so the only thing it does not have that the BLVD does is the larger headwings, but it does have some smaller headwings and deep sides. The newer Britaxes have a one year longer life and some pretty significant improvements in terms of safety. Jools has talked about them as being worth buying the new ones (not getting rid of the last gen ones if you have one but buying the new one if you have the option).

babycatalog.com has the MA70 for $209.xx (25% off). (BLVD70 is 247.xx)
Just my 2cents! :)

I saw that the moonstone blue color is actually $10 less than the one you originally posted (it's at 189.99) at albeebaby.com
Cute print too.

Thanks for posting this! I had been trying to find a Frontier for around $200. Babycatalog had them for $209.99 plus 3% back from ebates. I figured that was as close as I was going to get!
