View Full Version : PSA: Flushable diaper liners and wipes... not really flushable after all

My mom just called to tell me their sewage backed up, and the plumber found a bunch of "flushable" diaper liners were the culprit. We don't even use them that much, much less at my mom's. We use Kushies diaper liners for our cloth diapers (DS is pee-trained but refuses to poop in the potty, so I let him use a diaper for that still). I did use some "flushable" wipes a couple of months back at my mom's to test them, though, so I don't know if that's what they found.

Anyway, just a reminder to beware of things advertised as "flushable".

As a side note, my mom is sooooo sweet that she's not billing me for the plumber! She just wanted to let me know so I wouldn't use those at home anymore and cause the same issue.

Yikes.
Does she have a septic tank?
