Holztiger figures are a tradition that I have started for my kids. DD gets woodland animals and DS gets castle figures. I also like to put in fun little things like wind-up or pull back toys.

I always put in an ornament (from me). It is usually themed after their halloween costume or other interest if I can not find that. I also always get chapstick, some fun candy (something that looks special, not just everyday Hershey's Kiss), and a new toothbrush.

The nano bugs are really small, pretty inexpensive (around $5 for one, I think) and my boys love them. You can get them in tubes that would fit easily into a Xmas stocking.
