I know there was a lot of talk here about vanicream as a wonderful cream to use for eczema. I love it for me. I tried it on DD and it turns out she is highly allergic. According to CS there are no known allergens in it. I still cannot figure out which of the ingredients DD is allergic to. Meanwhile I can never use it on her as even a little bit causes huge welts that itch her terribly. Oh well, back to the drawing board and back to cetaphil (I like it, but I feel it's to thin).

DS's dermatologist just recommended Cetaphil Restoraderm to us.

I'm trying it on DS1 currently, but it is thinner than the Vanicream. It contains shea butter so I can't use it on DS2 because of his nut allergy.

Have you tried Cerave? It clears up DS2's face within a day or two when it his dry patches start to show up.

I've been using the daily advance one on DD. It's really thin. I will have to try the restoraderm. Thanks.

I've never heard of that one before. Is it sold OTC?

I got it at Drug Mart, and I think CVS carries it. His pediatrician recommended it, then my friend's dermatologist recommended it for her. This is what we use.

I saw it at walmart - on the bottom shelf, near the face creams.
