Super Scribblenauts for the DS??? age range?

I would like to get this for DS. He is is 7.5 years in the 1st grade and reading at a 4th grade level.....however, he is not as mature as his age or reading level.:) Do you think this game would be appropriate? Thanks!

The guy at Game Stop said it's more for much older kids, do you have the original Scribblenauts?

I bought this for DS, age 8. He's in second grade and reads at grade level. I saw one of his friend's moms in the store when I was looking at games and she said her DS likes the original Scribblenauts and she thinks it also educational, so I got it, but I'll be giving it to him for Christmas.
