How do you store/ organize your DVDs? My DC are always trying to get into them and end up smudging or scratching them, making them scratch or skip when they play. does anyone have any good suggestions of something to store them in or something?

Thanks!

I have a couple cases like this: http://www.amazon.com/BNW-48-Polyester-Wallet-Capacity-Black/dp/B000JJSQ4Y/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1291819807&sr=8-9

I store them in here vs in the DVD cases. My rule is they can flip through and pick, but I have to put the DVD in. I have one case with more "older kid" DVDs and one with shows aimed for younger kids.

Do you just store the cases somewhere else?

I have a box in the basement with DVD cases. That way if I ever want to sell them, I have the case.

For the kids DVDs we have a DVD book, for the most used ones we keep them in a visor disc organizer. For big people DVDs, dh CDs and random game disc we have four disc storage boxes and a gazzilion disc sleeves. Everything is stored on the top shelf of our entertainment cabinet (expedite from ikea). We have a little basket off to the side to keep disc that are put back away.

We gave up on cases ages ago. We never go to the movies and rarely buy DVDs so the ones we have are for keeps.

This is what we have. Works fairly well as they can take them out of the box and look at the title without removing them from the sleeve. http://www.containerstore.com/shop/collections/mediaStorage/cDsCassettes?productId=10022645&N=225
