Want to get DS dinosaurs.
We have a bunch of Anamalz and sadly they don't get played with much, so not interested in wood.

Any suggestions?
So far all I can find is Bullyland and they are $$$ and seem to only be for sale on specialty dinosaur websites.

Schleich is PVC.
Papo is PVC.
Safari is PVC but phthalates free.
I assume Animal Planet is PVC.

Thanks.

I'd suggest reconsidering wood. We have animalz too and they don't get played with at all. Never. No matter what I do.

However, we have Holztiger and other wooden animals (carved & painted) that get a TON of play. For some reason the animalz are just bust.

I believe Playmobil plastic is considered a safer plastic, like Legos. They have several dinosaur sets. And their new African Wildlife and Zoo sets are pretty cool! I believe both Playmobil and Legos use ABS plastic, which is one of the safer plastics. Their toys are mostly made in Germany with a few I have seen manufactured in Malta.

We do have some not so green, plastic in our home, but DS is old enough not to put anything in his mouth. He never really was one to put things in his mouth even as a toddler. Now, he plays quite a bit with Legos and Playmobil and I feel pretty good about those two brands safety.

I didn't get a chance to look at the Playmobile sets, but yes, Playmobile and Lego are both European based companies with a flawless safety record. I would feel very, very safe giving those brands to my kids. They are 2 of very few plastic toy companies featured in "green" magazines for their safety records and environmentally friendly manufacturing practices.
