View Full Version : ISO of deal on Stockmar crayons

I really want to try the stockmar block crayons with my 18 month old but I just can't seem to feel comfortable paying $20 for 8 crayons (Amazon is 18.99 with free ship). Any suggestions of where to check? Brick and Mortar stores in San Francisco area (preferably East Bay) are also welcome as I'd prefer to support local if I can't get a screaming deal.

Thanks,

Christine

Christine-
Not sure about a deal, but I'm sure that any Waldorf school on your area would stock them in their school store. At least that supports local.

I've never been able to find a sale. ITA that local is the best option for them - and probably the cheapest since you wouldn't have to pay shipping.

I order my Stockmar through Palumba. No Waldorf school or local store here that carries them.

You could try Montessori Services in Santa Rosa. They sell 8 crayons for $13, or 16 for $25. They have lots of interesting items and sometimes do free shipping. (Sister catalog is For Small Hands).

We do a school order for a percentage back to our school in the fall, with free shipping on a large order to our school address. You can still gift a percentage to your school (if they're participating) until the end of the year. I've put together orders with a few other parents to get free shipping when they're running specials (sign up for their email to get specials).

I got mine at Mylittleducks.com. You may want to email her to see if she's going to re-stock.

They are $12 for 8 there, and she regularly runs coupons for 20% off (which would make them $9.60).
