I want to have a back up dinner plan for Christmas Day. We plan to go to my parent's, but one year I am sure the kids will just want to stay home! So, I thought I'd make a lasagna on Thursday night. If we don't go Saturday, we'd eat it then. If we do go, we'd eat it on Sunday.

Should I just assemble it and then stick it in the fridge until I want to bake it? Or should I bake it and divide it up and put it in the fridge or freezer (which?)?

Just not sure!

I would cook it on the day you make it and then put it in the fridge. I've had mine in the fridge for up to a week and its still fine (we keep our fridge very cold though). Thurs to Sat would definitely be fine.

Yummy -- I may steal your idea.

Thanks! I ended up having time to make it today, so it's made, but not yet baked. I'll cook it tonight and stick it back in the fridge until the weekend. Good to know it'll go that long.

I think lasagna is one of those foods that gets better with age. I bet it'll be fantastic. Yum.
