I need a new slow cooker and I need one that's programmable. However, I'm only making food for 1-2 people at a time so the smaller the better. I can't seem to find any 1.5-3 quarts that are not manual. Any recs? Thanks

I don't know of any. What I would do instead is get a timer that plugs into your outlet, very inexpensive gadget you can get for $5-10 at Home Depot or any hardware store. Then you plug the slow cooker into the timer. You leave the slow cooker switched on to the setting you want and the outlet timer will turn it on at the time you set.

that's a good idea. another thought would be to get the smallest you can find, then make enough to fill it and freeze what you don't eat in a day or two - one cooking session, several meals! always a good thing in our house!

Thank you for the suggestions. Sorry I did not see this sooner. I am going to go ahead and get another 4 quart I decided. I don't want to fool around with adjusting all my cooking times.

thanks again
