Hi all,
I'm hoping the experts can help me with my stroller dilemma. I am due in April and live in a three story apt building with no elevator. My stroller will have to stored in the trunk of my car (I have a civic). Since we have limited space in general, I would love to have just one stroller. I've been considering just getting a snap and go to start with but I'm not crazy about that idea since I would like to go on long walks around the neighborhood. Things that are important to me: easy fold and relatively compact, good push, can use with an infant. Is this asking too much?? I've been considering a BJCM but the reviews for the car seat adapter were not so great. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!

I'm sure other people would have much better recommendations than me, but with my limited knowledge of strollers I'd go with a Cybex from Overstock.

It's relatively lightweight, umbrella fold. It has a full recline so you can use it from birth. With strap adapters you can also put an infant car seat in it, I think, although I wouldn't recommend long walks with an infant in the car seat but it reclines fully so you wouldn't have to.

Look at the Topaz or the Callisto. An Onyx may work also, but I don't own one so not sure.

I think a compact reversible would be great for a newborn. To quote myself from an earlier thread:

You will get the most for your money with the Cybex Callisto (http://www.overstock.com/Baby/Cybex-Callisto-Lightweight-Stroller-in-Indigo/5148032/product.html)

If you are looking to spend some money and want a compact reversible:
Mamas & Papas Urbo (http://www.ratedbymom.com/2010/10/take-a-peek-at-our-demo-of-the-mamas-papas-urbo-stroller/)
Bugaboo Bee (http://www.ratedbymom.com/2010/07/spotlight-product-review-bugaboo-bee-plus-2010/)
Uppa Baby Cruz (http://www.ratedbymom.com/2010/10/new-stroller-for-uppa-baby-in-2011/) (not out yet)
Quinny Zapp Xtra (http://www.ratedbymom.com/2010/10/new-for-quinny-maxi-cosi-collection-for-2011/) (not sure this is out yet either)
iCandy Cherry (http://www.ratedbymom.com/2010/05/spotlight-product-review-icandy-cherry-stroller/)
Maxi-Cosi Loola (http://www.ratedbymom.com/2009/05/spotlight-product-review-maxi-cosi-loola-stroller/) (being discontinued and on sale at most places)

If money is no object then Strollerqueen has been raving about the new Inglesina Avio (http://strollerqueen.blogspot.com/2010/11/inglesina-avio-review.html).

Do you live in the city? Do you walk or drive more?
I would suggest looking into micralite toro stroller. It can be used as car seta frame, there's a bassient attachment to it, and there's stroller seat. All can be bought together or separately.
STroller is easy to store, because it stand when folded. It is also rather lightweight (not as light as umbrella style, but close), It pushes great, and overall is a nifty alternative to many others out there. It's expensive on first site, but there are deals to be had, and ebay is alos your friend :)

How about the Mamas and Papas Sola? You can use the urbo carrycot with it or get car seat adaptors.

Hi there! Welcome!

I would look for a stroller with full recline or a bassinet. It's best for babies to be out of the car seat as much as possible.

I like the Micralite Toro suggestion!

I love my BJCM, but would like a reversible for a new babe...
FWIW - my friend has the carseat adapter for her BJCM and doesn't have a problem with it...

I never used a snap n go frame with my older DD, but I have actually found it quite convenient with DD2 as I have a 4 yo. I have an Uppa Baby Vista and I really like it. I like the look of the new Uppa Baby stroller too. It is heavy though but honestly for city dwellers (if you don't use a subway often) I think it's a great only stroller. If you are going to use the subway lots and still want somewhat reasonably sized stroller I'd look at the Micralite Toro (friends of mine who have homes in DC, and NYC love it), or a Maclaren Techno. The Maclaren Techno is larger than the Triumph, but it can be used from birth w/the full recline, and the suspension for an umbrella is quite nice. The Mountain Buggy Swift is also a nice stroller (although I have never tried one in person because their distributer refuses to distribute them near me that doesn't require an hour drive in traffic to even try one) based on what I have heard here.
