UPDATE: the Landsend one arrived and I like it! The sleeves are plenty long. And I like the length and style. And at a great price. So glad I went ahead and got it. Thanks!

Catherine

So, now I'm think about a rain coat. I'd like something with a hood and dressier and more stylish than my Bass Pro rain jacket, lol.

I really like the looks and price of this one

But I'm a bit worried as many of the reviews mention the sleeves being short--I am 5'7"--and the hood not staying attached to the jacket.

Anyone seen anything similar elsewhere? I tried Athleta, REI, Sierra Trading Post, LLBean, Nordstrom and TravelSmith. Most things that had a hood and were similar seemed to be in the $120 and up range. I'd rather stay at $80 or below. . . .

Thanks for any suggestions!

It's a bit above your price range but I just got this coat and love it:

It's a real raincoat but the fabric has different colors woven in (zoom in) so it looks dressier... the black is more like charcoal and the bullfrog is a nice taupe-y olive. Not crinkly at all and it has a lining so it's warmer than you expect (including those windstopper interior cuffs). I wear it over my work clothing all the time.

I have this jacket and I really like it. I am 5'8" and I don't find the sleeves short at all. The hood is nice and deep and the pockets are deep as well. I do have to say that one of hood snaps does occasionally pop off when I put on my messenger bag for work (I wear it cross-body). It is kind of annoying at times, but not annoying enough to return it. I think it is a fabulous jacket for the price- and it is waterproof!

Good to know! Maybe I should go ahead and get it!

A little pricey, but stylish and warm:

I have something like this but it's single-breasted instead of double which I got a few years back at an outlet store.

Okay so the REI one is bit shorter and more expensive than I'd like. I am way too pattern phobic for the Boden one and the BR one doesn't have a hood. Yes, yes, I am picky. Lol. I think I had better just order the LE one and give it a try.

Thanks!

FWIW, I found the cut of the raincoat to be more flattering than the picture. I also did not cinch in the waist. Hope you like it!
