Gap Stores...extra 40% off today

I got an email advertising an in store sale for and extra 40% off today, 30% off tomorrow and 25% off Thursday. In stores only/

The 40% off stacks with the 10% off Tuesdays for Gap cardholders.

But it's not a true 50% off. They will do the 40% discount first, THEN do the 10% discount on the remaining amount. Still, not bad!

I got a couple pairs of pajamas, cute zebra slippers, and underwear for the girls.

I wonder if Thursday's 25% off will stack with the Thu coupons they have been handing out (40% off or 45% with Gap card)...

I think the Thursday cards are for regular priced merchandise only, so that wouldn't stack.

The email says that you have to "present the email". Otherwise, you are right - they won't tell you.

They asked me if I had any promotional discounts; I said that I'd heard about the 40% off sale items but couldn't get it to print and they gave me the discount (implied that it was automatic though).

The Walnut Creek store was a madhouse today; I wouldn't wait hoping to stack codes.

I went to 2 GAPs today - one had signage up everywhere for an add'l 40% off and they took it off without me saying anything. The other didn't, but gave it to me when I mentioned the email (didn't have to show it). The 10% off for using your GAP card did stack with this, but after the 40% was taken off. I bought some thinner knit sweaters for me - got 5 for $80!

I went back in there because Im just a few blocks away. Since I was in there, there were new 40% off signs all over the store. Since when does a sale start at 2:45pm> Anyway I shouldnt have gone in there because I just enede up getting more stuff. Im addicted to gap body. Ugh

Went there today, but didn't see anything I liked for me or DS. Their clothes have been so blah recently. Love their skinny jeans though!

Not at my store it didn't. I even asked and they refused to try. Were being very secretive about the sale, too.

As a side note- I went last night and had the gap card "extra 10 percent off" discount card- they did stack that after the 40% off, but wouldn't give me Cardholder Tues discount with no explanation, but did give it to the person in front of me that didn't use the extra 10%.

FWIW, the gap deals are becoming a ridiculous game. I bought a sweater Monday off a table marked 40% off- then got the extra 10%. Yesterday, that table was no longer discounted, so I would have still gotten the 40% off of the day, plus my extra 10%. No difference, just switching up the signs!

The lady at the register told me that they can stack 2 discounts (40% + 10%) but not more than that. I agree about the ridiculousness of the gap deals...I am becoming more and more disappointed with their stuff.
