Stroller newbie here..
I was hoping to get the Mac Triumph from the gilt sale- have been waitlisted.

Any other suggestions for a good bargain on these?

I found these on ebay-

Any cons to buying a 2008/2009 new in box stroller? Do strollers ( like car seats) have expiration dates?

Also any cons to buying form ebay?

Posted this in your other thread as well:

I would check babies r us in the clearance section - sometimes around this time of year you can score a good deal...

Also - seller babyproductstore on ebay is widely believed to be the maclaren outlet (they only sell maclarens, often sell maclaren floor models, and are housed in Conn where the Maclaren US warehouse and headquarters are). While they say they do not have the Maclaren warranty, they do offer their own warranty. This green one is $117 and they also have a few others for less... http://cgi.ebay.com/Maclaren-Triumph...item3a617f0c89
Ebates is I think 4% back?

DIapers.com has this one (and it appears from the picture to have the newer hinges) for $150

Ebates is 5.5% back

HTH!

ETA - I have 2 2009s - my Ryder has giant step on brakes on the wheels which are great. My triumph has toggle brakes which are fine. I would probably prefer the step on brake in the center, but since I have never tried it, I don't really know the difference. I have both the round buckle and the square. I prefer the square - the round buckle makes me a little twitchy, but either is fine...
The newer hinges don't require hinge covers... Mine both have hinge covers - doesn't really bother me, but all these are personal preference...

as for buying from ebay, I would limit to buying from either babyproductstore or baby store outlets that are authorized dealers. Most people have had great experiences with babyproductstore...

I bought both of my Maclarens off of Ebay. My Triumph from 2006 I bought from a seller who is no longer there and I paid $130 (including shipping) so I saved about $30 off the retail price. I have never had a problem with the stroller.

I bought my Techno from Babyproductsstore too and it came quite quick. I got a floor model Techno XLR for $140.

I love the step on brakes on my Techno, but the brakes on my Triumph are also okay. I also prefer the square buckle, but once I figured out the circle I have been okay with it. I don't use the hinge covers even though I have them.
