I don't know if any of you would know this, but if a job is full time (but does not provide benifits) so you still qualify for the amazing maternity leave? (you know the 60% of your pay for a year?

thanks!

You have to have worked the 600 hours, its got nothing to do with whether its FT, PT, has benefits or not:

Who is eligible?
To be entitled to maternity, parental or sickness benefits you must show that:

your regular weekly earnings have been decreased by more than 40% (http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/ei/digest/2_3_0.shtml#a2_3_1); and
you have accumulated 600 insured hours in the last 52 weeks or since your last claim. This period is called the qualifying period (http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/ei/types/special.shtml#Qualifying).

And, its not 60% of your pay:

How much will you receive?
The basic benefit rate is 55% of your average insured earnings up to a yearly maximum insurable amount of $43,200. This means you can receive a maximum payment of $457 per week. Your EI payment is a taxable income, meaning federal and provincial or territorial, if it applies, taxes will be deducted.
