Target toy clearance going on now!

Just got back from Target and a TON of toys are marked at least 30% off. There were 2 aisles full of clearanced toys, but a lot of others scattered amongst the other aisles. Noticed that Bigfoot and the big talking Buzz Lightyear toys are also clearanced, and also a bunch of lego/duplo sets.

The Christmas stuff is not on clearance yet, except for the trees. I'll be there at 7am on Sunday!

i noticed lots of sale signs when i was at target yesterday too-- i didn't even step foot in toys though...because, ack! no. we're done ;)

i keep telling DH that i'm going to be sleeping in on the 26th, but we'll see.

Thanks for the info. If I remember correctly they usually go 75% off on the last Thursday of January! I have it marked on my calendar!! But maybe it will be earlier this year. Pls keep us posted. I am sure to head out on the 26th looking for sales.

The past few years have been earlier than that for 75%. Usually the 2nd or 3rd Thursday, it seems, at least around here.

I was just coming here to post about this. We ran out of dishwashing soap and I went to Target because I needed to return something. Happened to walk through the toy aisle and Bigfoot was $59.xx! I have been watching for a sale all season with no luck - I had bought him at Target for $85. I had my receipt in my purse, so I bought the clearanced one, went outside, took off the clearance sticker, went in the other end of the store and returned it with my original receipt. After taxes, I saved $27!!! :cheerleader1: I know they won't price adjust for clearance items, so I was very fortunate to have my receipt with me - totally made my day :) Then, I promptly went to Staples and bought DD the crayon and marker towers without feeling a bit guilty about it.

ETA: It was killing me that I paid so much for that crazy thing, but that is the ONLY thing DD wanted from Santa. Don't ask me why. That girl never ceases to amaze me.

I was able to score the Ultimate Buzz Lightyear (the one in the big case that sings and dances) for half off. $49 instead of $99.

They had lots of other random stuff marked down too, but I was DONE shopping. The buzz was an impulse buy, but DS LOVES him, so it was worth it.

Took a peak in the toy section while I was in Target (in IL) a few hours ago. Lots of toys on clearance. Here's a rough list of what I saw on my quick run through. Most was 30% off a small bit was 50% off.

Our Target has Learning Resources toys at 30% off. I didn't find any 50% off items but this is also the same Target that was only 50% off a VERY picked over selection of Christmas stuff.

The only Playmobil that I saw today was on clearance, so I guess they are phasing it out, or maybe it is a seasonal thing? Also, my parents asked at their Target a few months ago and were told that store doesn't carry Playmobil. FWIW, it was not a Super Target, and mine is. Maybe that is/was the difference? In fact, if I'm being honest, I went to 3 Targets today :bag and only the Super Targets had Playmobil.

I picked up a couple of the Safari Playmobil sets on clearance. I got the one with the lions and cheetah, and the one with the elephant, giraffe and flamingos. I passed on the big safari station set and the one with the rhino and jeep, but those were marked down too. I thought the one with the zebras and gazelles weren't marked down since there was no clearance sticker, but I just checked the price on the Toys R Us website, and it was half price at Target, so I might go back for that tomorrow if it's still there. I also passed on the Police Station since DS isn't really into that. This was at a regular Target, not at a SuperTarget. There are 3 regular Target's in my area, but only one of them carries Playmobil (and I have a feeling it is being discontinued there).

i'm guessing playmobil is at "better" targets (serious YMMV with that one ;) )-- ours main target sometimes has playmobil (it's definitely more "seasonal" than other toys-- much more likely to be there at christmas), but other ones in the area DO NOT. a few years ago, pre-kiddo i bought TONS of stuff at the "new" target in town on clearance-- that's when i picked up the take along doll house for 12.XX!!!!!!!! after that, not so much luck ;)

(i just remembered that i got the firetruck at that target... so , i'd say that 2 of our stores have playmobil )

My Target (Danvers, MA) had the Imaginext Pirate Ship for about $8, it was 75% off. They had TONS of them, but that was the only thing marked down to 75% off, everything else was 30%. I'm not positive, but I think that's cheaper than when Amazon had a good deal on it before Xmas.

Lots of Lego sets but only 50% off. Most things were CARS and Toy Story 3.

I scored at my target. I went at 1 and went to the toys and noticed nobody was there and nothing was on sale. Then I noticed the free for all down a ways.

I got there just in time - probably two minutes after the real grubbers (haha) so I had a good selection.

I must note - baby shoes are 75% off too! Got 5 pair!

Just got back from 2 Targets, and OMG, there was hardly anything left!!! Just an endcap with some Lego kits and other misc. junky items. I was just at both a couple days ago and there were lots of stuff! Luckily, I bought DS what I really wanted at 50% off. I did stop by the sporting goods dept, and lo and behold, I saw the Leapfrog Zippity lying by it's lone self, obviously in the wrong area......SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regular price was $80 so I got it for $20! :yay: I couldn't resist....it looks soooooooo fun!!

My poor DS has been sick all week and so we couldn't go to Target early today, but in the afternoon, he looked outside despondently and I knew he was up for it. So we went. By the time I got there, there was very little left but I was happy to find a Thomas early engineers set, some duplo and megablocks. I didn't try any others as it was already late and I figured they would be emptied out.

How often do they have these sales?
