I got my 3 year old DD a geotrax set for christmas and it is a HUGE hit. I want to get more trains for it but i can't find any! it seems like everything is discontinued and like 70 bucks on ebay or amazon and i don't see any plain remote trains on the fisher price site either. Where do you get trains ? Also, how many extra add ons do you recommend? we got her the timbertown railway which is pretty big but maybe a few extra tracks would be good. Any suggestions? I know a lot of people are geotrax fans on here.

Our walmart still had a couple of the lightening mcqueen ones. Target had a few too. Toys R us often has some.
we have:
grand central station from costco '08
lightening mcqueen set from costco '09
light up bridge
covered bridge
various little sets-lift and load quary, ambulance and a rescue center thing

check craigslist and yardsales, I think there is a specific age for geotrax and kids outgrow it before you know it. We did not get any new geotrax for Christmas this year-the previous years were all geotrax. He still plays with them but is now doing more imaginext and legos.

TRU has the best selection for rc trains. I'd suggest an elevation pack

Definately try craigslist. I've found some good deals at kohls in the past as well.

Enjoy!

If you can hold out a few months cl and eBay tends to get better with selection and pricing. We always bought lot sets and worked the math so that after shipping each piece was a dollar, anything above we stop bidding. Yes we got a couple repeat items but no one seemed to mind.
