DD got a gc to Toys R Us from my parents; I was trying to pick up a doll at the TRU after Christmas sale. Much of what I want is out of stock, but I can wait. WDYT about the Corolle (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2401796) v. M&D (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4013866). Both dolls have ballerina themes, but clothes come off. They are modeled after AG dolls, I think, which would be great. I gave DD an AG doll (not Bitty) for her 3rd Bday. She was too young. Eventually I will have to pay for new hair, but whatever. I'd love to be able to put the AG doll up and give her a similar sized doll whose hair she can comb without me cringing.
Anyway, what do you think? Personally I do not care for the Corolle doll's face. It looks all scrunched up to me. I prefer the M&D face. There is also this one (http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Victoria-Ballerina-Doll/dp/B0037UWPM6) available at Amazon which I like the best, but the gc was for TRU.
I think I remember people raving about the Corolle dolls. Any experience with the M&D MineToLove line? Also, anyone know why the M&D is $30 and the Corolle is $45? Are they that different in quality?
