I was out and about today, because I needed to find some gifts for my 4 yr old nephew for this weekend. While out, I browsed Christmas stuff, too. A few random things I picked up:

There are 11 days left of this store-closing sale (the Express stores are seasonal) and tons of great toys left: Melissa and Doug, Playmobil, Lego, etc. I restrained because we are stocked with toys after Christmas, but I plan to check back later to see if prices go even lower.

Were all the toys discounted at your TRU Express store? I stopped at one today and the store was still fully stocked because only selected items (with a green tag) were 50% off. Most anything worth buying was not on sale.

Everything at my store was AT LEAST 50% off. Some stuff was at 60 and 70%.

ETA some more examples: Melissa and Doug Cutting Food and Cutting Fruits were around $11 at 50% off. Still not as low as the lowest Amazon deal, but still a very good price. I also saw the M&D Lacing Beads and Shape Sorter Clocks (forget the prices, though). They also had a bunch of these cute M&D box sets of four 12-piece wooden puzzles (mini-sized, though), which came to about $4 after discount. They had Just Like Home play food sets for $5, and a porcelain tea set, which I think was discussed in the amazon thread, for $2.50 after discount. I was tempted by so many toys, but I thought I'd wait a few days to see if I can get even better deals because the store was still pretty well stocked and I think my DH will kill me if I bring home more stuff!

How do you find locations of TRU express stores? Anyone know?

Try toysrus.com and look for the "store locator" link.

ETA: Just tried this, and it didn't show my Express store as such in the listing. Just said Toys R Us. I suggest maybe calling your local store. Maybe they can tell you where the nearest Express store is located?
