Radio Flyer Trike for big 2.5 DD?

So I went to the local Thrift store and snatched up a Radio Flyer Deluxe Steer & Stroll Trike for $4.10 but the parent steering handle is missing. I'm going to run back tomorrow and see if they have it lying around somewhere but I'm not optimistic.
So, is this going to be useful with out the handle or should I try to order replacement parts from Radio Flyer?

I'd be more concerned about the trike fitting. The radio flyers always seemed small to me. We went with Kettler (used) because they were so much bigger and could grow with the child. If the trike fits your kid ok... then no, I wouldn't worry too much about the push bar. We only ever used ours a handful of times. It's nice to have for resale value, but since you only paid $4, not a huge concern! :-)

Yeah, I'm worried about her fitting too...but I can always use it with DD2. It's hidden away at the moment but I'll pull it out tomorrow and see if she fits.
