downloaded the specs. Its 25.3 inches wide and 29.5 lbs. The canopy also looks lacking. Found a youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxgc8mEYgnQ&feature=autoplay&list=ULDj8QCzNghh0&index=1&playnext=2) of the fold. Looks easy but very bulky.

It's amazing to me how many fab strollers come out of the Netherlands...Easy Walker, Mutsy, Quinny/Maxi Cosi, First Wheels/Joolz Day,the aforementioned Koelstra, and of course, the original Bugaboo. And with this post, I reach 5,000!:yay: :boogie:What gem will I become? :tongue5:

You, my dear, are a DIAMOND!

And how come the netherlands get all the cool strollers and we get Gracos? Don't they know we want cool strollers too? They should follow Bugaboo and Mutsy and come over!

The koelstra looks very cool.

And I like that you can get a ski attachment for the Seed Pli!

Aw, thank you! I like rubies too, though. :love-retry: But at least we're getting most of them over here now. When I was first looking for strollers for my 12 year old DD, none of the above was here.

That's the one I have in my Roll-Out, under Joovy. He's thinking of bringing it here. It's made from some kind of rare metal, and it will be pricey.

yes, it is amazing how much the baby gear world has changed in the last decade. ten years ago, peg perego strollers were the best you could get, closely followed by combi, the baby bjorn was the best carrier, and diapers bags screamed "I belong to a baby!"

i think europe has always been ahead in the stroller game because europeans walk everywhere. (yes, i'm generalizing.) strollers are to europeans what minivans are to americans. they need something that can carry all their groceries, baby essentials, and baby. something that is comfortable for them and for baby to spend the entire day out and about. something can handle a lot of walking. something like an emmaljunga or this:

That is very true of Europeans. One of my good friends lives in Zurich (she's single, no kids) and it amazes her that parents will have huge prams to push their kids around in all day, and then they will store them in a postage-stamp size walk-up apartment. I think the only American city that even gets close to that is New York, specifically Manhattan. Hence, the reason why all the pricey European prams show up there first.

:yeahthat: You sure got that right. My 12Y0 and his 2 siblings had 2 strollers, a PP Milano and a Combi Ultra Savvy. We had a Baby Bjorn carrier and a hideous diaper bag! Thank goodness I had another baby this year so I could try out all this awesome stuff and walk about it all with you wonderful mamas!

I just got back from London and had serious stroller envy almost everywhere I went! I saw beautiful Emmeljunga and Inglesina prams on a few occasions; and even one of those stunning vintage-looking Silver Cross creations. Sigh...
