Scotch guarding or other fabric protection methods?

I just bought a beautiful new stroller...in an off-white color. I know, probably totally stupid of me, but it's just so pretty. And, I'd like to do what I can to keep it that way. Has anyone ever Scotch Guarded canvas-like material? I don't even know where to start...are there companies that do this, or do I buy a can of spray at Target?

I'd be worried about the off-gassing of that stuff. Definitely look into it. I know I read some stuff about it when I was researching sofas.
