pls help me with picture in body of post

I really want to play in the "show me a child" thread and i cant :(

i looked up the "how to" in the how to section...as far as posting picture in body of post- i hit the icon that looks like mountain with sun and then post the image's url (from flckr). it looks like a link surround with the [IMG] but then when i go to post it it just looks like a darn link instead of a picture!

please help

The trick that I just learned from ThreeOfUs is to right click ON the picture, and hit 'copy image location', and then paste that address into the box that pops up when you hit the mountain/sky icon. I tried it and it worked perfectly!

I use photobucket for posting on the board. I don't use it for anything else but it's really easy for this purpose. You just upload the picture and click on the img code. It then displays "copied" and you can paste it into a message here and done!

i suppose the question that comes to mind is WHAT is the image code and HOW do you copy it.

when i right click on the picture the only thing that comes up is a thingy saying all rights reserved and a selection of how big i want to view it. Im on a Mac.

I just thought that you are supposed to copy the whole http and so on thing from your browser when you have the picture open, and then post that between the IMG IMG. Am i wrong?

thanks Lisa, thing is i already have a flickr acct set up and would hate to have to set up photobucket just for this reason-if in fact i can make flickr work!

Can you try to just upload it to your account under "manage attachments " (scroll down, it's under the place where you type your message). Then when you want to stick it in the message, you go back to manage attachments and it should be there.

Like i said above, when I clicked on the picture the only thing that would come up was copyright info and a selection of how big i want to view it. I realize i have to choose how big i want to view it and only then proceed to right click yet again-to get the option that says "copy image location"
