If you have the BJCS do you find the seat length/depth to be an issue? I am still on the fence between the 2010 and 2011... do you think the 1" difference would make a big difference in your older child's comfort?

Thanks!

I don't know why I am having such a hard time deciding!

i'll let you know tomorrow when i get mine! i have a huge (well skinny but 41" tall) 3 year old- i've seen some pics on the web and i'm hopping it will work. the 2010 is better than the 2011 (i think i already told you this...) b/c the seat is "sling" style and has about an inch or two of give on their bottoms which equals more upper body space in the seat. i would jump on the current deals, it's the exact same frame etc!....

A BJ rep told me the only difference in the 2011 seats is that they are 1" deeper and the seaming is vertical. From what she said it doesn't seem like the new seats will be that much roomier, maybe just provide more leg room. But who knows, maybe she was incorrect.

Do you need 2 seats? If so, I would just get a 2010 and then wait for the 2011 release to get the additional seat. That way your larger kid could ride in the (slightly) bigger seat.

My 3.5yo is very comfy in the 2010 seat. She's about 38" tall and has plenty of head room. The canopy has 2 positions so with the canopy attached at the higher position she has more than enough head room.

Here's a pic of the top of her head against the top of the seat. She's got a few inches before she reaches the top of the seat and there's several more inches between where the seat top ends and the canopy...so in reality she's got about 5" (or more) before her head touches the canopy.

Thanks for the pics on the height - they really make me feel better. Do you think the bottom seat part would make that much difference since they are extending it 1"? Do you feel like it would support your dc's legs better?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I think I am ok with the sling style seat - it doesn't seem to bother people too much, just not sure about the bottom seat length/depth changes.

Please post your thoughts when you get yours tomorrow!!

DD1s legs dangle or she rests them and she doesn't mind either way. I'm not sure that an extra 1" would make much difference...they'd still dangle.

I tried one last weekend with my 28lb 2.5 year old in the front seat. She fit well with a ton if room left over and she is tall. Only thing I found I didn't like about it was when I tried to "pop" it like you would if you were going up a curb I couldn't do it. Period. I'm pretty strong and wad really surprised by this. I guess I could to up the curb backwards... anyone else finding this? Is this to be expected in this style stroller. I had no problem with the b-ready I tried.

i just checked albeebaby's website and the silver is the regular $499 price (for just the single stroller..)?

The reason you can't pop the bjcs is b/c there is all the weight of one of the kids overt the front wheels so the back cannot tip back to go up a curb. to be expected. since the b-ready's extra weight is the kid on back in the jump seat, it tips easily back. just the way the seats are seat up.

These pictures make me think I should just get one of the 2010 2nd seats. Strollers.com has them for $109. Has anyone ordered from them before? Diapers.com is out of stock on the 2010 seats in onyx.

Ugh....can't decide 2010 or 2011 seat.

In some reviews the diamond colors looks more white than silver. I don't think a white stroller would last too long, especially since the foot rest is all fabric. The extra $30 for black is worth it IMO. Online the diamond color looks really pretty though.

Hmm...I am able to put my foot on the back crossbar and tilt it back and get the front wheels up the curb.

Thanks for the pics and feedback. I decided to go with the 2010 :-) I think it will be just fine. I have read the Diamond colors gets dirty easily - looks pretty, but I would be nervous about it showing dirt and wear to easily.

good choice on the black v silver.....i have read the white gets dirty super fast, i would NEVER get a silver/white stroller seat, once they become toddlers with dirty shoes/hands etc that would get really gross really fast! happy to hear i got the onyx from diapers.com before they sold out... :)

y'all are seriously tempting me so much on this deal. if i weren't still in the 1st tri with baby #2 i think it would be on its way!

can anyone comment on the BJCS push? i have a vista and am hoping it is almost as good? that is my one concern...i've never tried the stroller out and there's nowhere near me to do so.

:)

I think the push is excellent. Now, granted, my other stroller is a Graco Metrolite, so just about anything pushes better :). That said, fully loaded with two kids and stuff in the basket makes it heavy if you are navigating hills, but I've taken both girls and my 60lb dog for a walk with it and have no problem. I just wouldn't recommend going down a steep incline w/ it fully loaded if you are petite. I'm 120lbs and we have a big hill near us that I won't take the stroller on for fear that it'll drag me down the hill because there's no hand break. I would say the push is way better than a tandem but not quite as good as a high end SBS. But the trade off is the flexibility of one seat or two. I find I actually use it as a single more than a double (because DD1 is 3.5yo) but appreciate that I can use it as a double for longer outings.

Purchased the 2010 in Ruby! So excited! Now...where to get good deals on the accessories. Does any one use ones that are not BJ brand that they like?
