Does this apply to GAP Body? I didn't see any exclusions and I've been really wanting a few things. I guess its in store only?

So does anyone know if its all denim or just jeans? DD wanted a pair of the new jean capris, would those be excluded?

It looks like it's just the 1969 jeans that are excluded, other styles should qualify.

Now why didn't I get one of these emails? I get other ones. Hmmmm...

not sure - the coupon doesn't seem to exclude Gap body, so you can always call the store in advance. The coupon is only valid in-store and it doesn't work at the outlets.

Does anyone know if this excludes brands like Petunia Pickle Bottom and Robeez?
It doesn't say it on the coupon, but I was just wondering if anyone knew if they could use it..

thanks for the heads up. I was there last night and dropped in for a minute, and found a few solid pullovers (http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=57232&vid=1&pid=784594&scid=784594032) for the boys. Ours were lighter gray and a nice medium blue, and they ended up being $6.29 with the 30% off in store last night. I figured for the $2 I paid last night it wasn't worth going back today to use the 40% off coupon.

Just curious...do most of you find their stuff runs on the small side comparatively? DS2 definitely wears a 2 there in tops.

I've been finding the Gap sizing really inconsistent lately, both for adults and kids. DS is almost 22 months, and is solidly a 2 in most brands, sometimes a 3, but has 18-24 month Gap shirts that still fit fine, and a sweater and a tee that are 3T and WAY too small for him. That's why I try to buy in-store for Gap stuff lately, I really need to see it in person.

I agree. The fine print only mentions 1969 jeans and Junk Food so other jeans s/b included.

other brands are not excluded, and so if you live close to a Gap/baby Gap I would definitely try using the coupon. my local baby Gap doesn't carry those brands though- you're lucky!

ooh I saw those today - I liked how they were soft. I wish they had some in my son's size. I found those tops to run a bit on the smaller side, otherwise I would have purchased a size 3 even. Last year, I found some baby Gap jeans to run a bit big and sized down for him (size 2) when he was about 3 years old. of course they ended up shrinking in the wash and I probably should have stayed with a size 3. lol.

This is kind of weidrd b/c the Adult Gap has been having 40-50% off clearance for a long time now. I can't imagine that the coupon would be an additional 40% off the clearance.

It might be. Last year at this time I bought a bunch of baby items from 79c-$4 each and adult items at $5-15.

I was in the store a few weeks ago and compared two shirts that were supposed to be the same size (3T, I think) and one of the shirts had significantly shorter arms than the other one. Very weird.

One of the last times they did this when clearance was 40% off it didn't stack and I was bummed because previously it would stack. It was just 40% off. I think maybe it was around veterans day? I was psyched because I thought I was going to get 40% off on top of the 40% off clearance, but nope, just 40% off the sale price :(

I went this afternoon and even the sales items were 40% off! Spent less then $20 for 4 shirts...thought it was a good deal. So thanks OP!

But sizing is an issue! DS1 had to try the shirts he wanted because the sizes were totally different...and I felt one or two them were mismarked because the same shirt in the same size didn't fit the same. I asked the salesperson about this but she said that it why she highly recommends that you try on the item before taking the tag off!

Thanks to the OP. I went yesterday and got a bunch of PJs, and outfit for DD2 and some slippers for DD2. They were on clearance and the 40% off stacked!
Great deals.

Thanks OP! I hardly ever go to the GAP because I can't afford it! But I used the coupon on the sale rack and got three shirts for $12, one of which will be really cute for my DD for Valentine's Day!

OK, so is the 40% off clearance stacking with the coupon, or is it just being able to use the coupon with clearance items?

I didn't have another coupon, just the email that said 40% off. It did work on the sale/clearance items though.

I went yesterday and just showed the coupon from my phone and they took it. Yay! But I noticed on my receipt that the 2-for items (e.g., 2 for $20) were marked back up to original price before applying the 20%. That's not much of a discount for the toddler thermal shirts that are regular price $14.50 but are 2 for $20. Either $10 each (w/out 40%) or 40% off of $14.50. Did this happen to anyone else? Should I bring my receipt back in and ask for 40% off $10?

That is what GAP does . . . super annoying and I think it is false advertising. I actually have had several conversations with their corporate about this, but they insist that the "2 or more for $$$" is the "sale" price and you can't stack coupons with those items. However, the tag says "2 for $$$," so I consider that the regular price for the item if you buy more than 2. We buy basically everything for DD1 at gapkids, but that position made me furious!!!

Thanks, OP. For some reason I never got this email even though we're cardholders. Showing your coupon on my phone worked just fine:)

I've been more and more disappointed in the Gap nowadays! Quality really feels like it's gone downhill:(

aw, that sucks...IMO they should have taken the 40% off the discounted price... that is what they did for me. i went to Gap yesterday and got two longsleeve onesies for my son that were marked as $14.50, $10 each if you bought two or more. on my receipt it shows each one first marked downto $10, then it took 40% off that so I only paid $6 for each onesie. i would go back and ask for the 40% off $10. You are right that it's not much of a discount at all if they only took 40% off the regular price... I probably wouldn't have bought any if they didn't give me both discounts.

It's just that you can use the coupon with clearance items. They are not doing additional 40% off clearance items. They are doing 30% off entire store OR 40% off with the coupon. It's not stackable if that makes sense. So basically if you find something on the sale rack marked down to $9.99, it will be 40% off that (nothing more)... (at least that's how it worked for me yesterday)...
I believe it's still 30% off today - same rules apply...

:yeahthat: I ended up only purchasing an eyelet sun hat (http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=50786&vid=1&pid=807416) for my DD that was regularly priced (+40% off) - we needed it for her since the winter season feels more like summer around here lately (in SoCal).

Glad that many of you found great deals! ;) I wish the quallity at Gap were more consistent and reliable though too.

Thanks for posting this - I checked my receipt and sure enough, the same thing happened to me too, I never would have known as I saw them ring up at $10 before the coupon. I will definitely be returning at least one and probably both.

Ladies, you know that Gap has BOGO through today, right? It's for Gap card holders and can be combined with credit vouchers. I'm hoping it applies to jeans as well!
