Tall child 2009 BJ elite or 2008 summit 360

I have a chance to buy one of the baby jogger series. I have a 38 inch tall 3 yr old that I will be taking day and overnight trips on the train. I know she will not want to walk all the time. I don't want something she will outgrow quickly. I tried her in a city mini but her head just about touching the canopy, will it be any different in the elite or summit. Which would be the better choice for her size.

Wow your daughter must be all torso. My 37" 3 year old wasn't even close to touching the canopy on the BJCM. I believe the Elite has the tallest seatback.
