I'm tempted to get the Squall Sports Jacket in yellow but has anyone seen the yellow IRL? Wondering if it will make DD look like a highlighter.

snow pants on sale for $14, how do you use them? do you put them on DD only when they go out to play over regular clothes? and come back in and remove them? or wear them all day long? how many would you buy for a winter season. my DD will be 3 next winter and will be in preschool probably. ty

We use bibs only when we go play in the snow, over pj's or other soft clothing.

KrisM
01-18-2011, 12:24 PM
Personally, at that age, I prefer snow bibs. That way, there is no accidental snow going down the pants or a bare back getting cold.

But, for preschool, we just bring them with us and hang them with her coat. Before recess, they go get their gear and all change into it at once. At 3, there is a lot of teacher help. By 4, they're getting good at doing it themselves. By kindergarten and age 5, they're expected to do it themselves. DS1 is in 1st grade and it takes him about 12 seconds to be ready to go outside :).

DS1 wears them to and from school. They're too bulky to stick in the backpack and it's cold in the morning, so he wears them.

I think it would be too bulky and too warm to wear them all day.

They get worn over clothes.

diamond

ty to all i will look at bibs ty

Is there a big difference between the bibs and pants other than the bibs having an attached top but then its more like a vest I thought without sleeves.

I think "bibs" are like overalls. They cover the legs, but also the back and chest, with straps over the shoulders. (I don't have any idea why they are called bibs!)

My 2.5 year old has a set with those + a coat which keeps her nice and warm and dry when we play in the snow. She only wears them for playing in the snow, and she wears them over regular clothes.

I had to edit down to $100 which was tough. It's a great time to stock up.
I got my older girl the fleece jacket for $13.99, it was just $19.99 last night. Unfortunately, the Little Girls is $20.99 but I'm hoping that goes down too. I got my son a sherpa lined jacket for $10.99. Great deals.

So, I tried to order a couple of vests for dd2 and I dont know how it happened but I double clicked and it said order processed before I could enter a shipping code. So I called and was told that that code expired in Nov! I told the person that other people had just used the same code and she said it expired. So I told her to cancell the order. Which she couldnt do for some reason so finally she did a 1 time courtesy override w/a code she had.

Thanks OP! I got 2 track jackets, 2 tie dye hoodies, 2 tshirts, a tie dye l/s shirt, and a lunch box for $49.

This Study Haul lunch box is only $6.99 in one of the colors. I paid full price for the one DS has used for the past 2 years, and it is still in great shape. Now my toddler will have one as well.

thank you op. i got three track jackets in three sizes for my boy (next year and two years after that! $7 each!). also a squall and a sherpa lined hoodie thingy in next years size.

i did buy the three track jackets without any worries, since those are like 3 season clothing. he will surely be able to get lots of use out of those. its the squall and the hooded sherpa thingy that have me slightly worried. (and those were also expensive, even though they were half price. im still really not used to these childrens clothing prices. $60 for a 2 year olds coat? ugh. cant stomach it. so this sale is wonderful.)

my babys kind of chunky looking and so im slightly nervous. dont know if he will fit or not next year. most of the reviews on the items i bought stated "true to size". i was going to buy 3t instead of 2t, but i figured ill just take that risk and buy only 2t (he will be 2 yo early november). see how it goes. see how i like the quality. see how he fits.

crossing my fingers.

buying cheaply is such an art.

I stock up and keep everything in its bag with the packing slip. I've returned stuff a year later no questions asked. I've returned pants that DS has ripped, I've returned shoes when the laces broke and received replacements or refunds if they didn't have them. The only time I've had a little problem is when I purchased at Sears and couldn't find my receipt, but eventually did and they refunded me what I'd paid.

I would think so. I used to return stuff before we got LE in store. The only thing that had to go through their LE terminals was when I returned the damaged items purchased at Sears (so wouldn't be an issue for you) but I think it was just an inexperienced cashier.

got the track jackets, the fleece hoodie and the squall jacket today.

our little chubby guy, 14 months, fits the 2t fleece hoodie fine. its a leeeeedle bit big. (wish it was a little bigger. but maybe he wont grow so fast.)

did not rip open the squall yet. maybe tomorrow.

tried on the 2t track jacket. fit looser than the fleece, so that was nice. maybe it will fit perfectly come fall.

but OMG the track jacket is sooooooo cute.

when it comes down to less than $8 again, im snappin up maybe a set of doubles in every size.

we like our clothes simple.

oh and i was so happy to see that the hoodie uses ykk zippers.

my 12 month faded glory fleece hoodie's zipper pull SNAPPED IN HALF. what a piece of crap!!

love LE quality.

The price is now $29.99! That was some sale - with free shipping!!! Thanks so much to the OP and everyone else for sharing the deals.
