Hello Ladies,

I'm trying to register for a bouncy chair for my twins and have no idea which one is best? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!!!:wink2:

I think they are all pretty much the same. I have a very simple one that vibrates and plays music and it has some hanging toys. Worked just fine.

I personally really prefer these seats (not sure if you are registered somewhere):

They work for small babies on up. Bouncy seats get outgrown so fast. I have both and the infant to toddler chair still gets used by both my 10 month old and my almost 5 year old, where as my baby outgrew the bouncy seat around 5 months old. She just was never interested in it, and never got learned how to bounce herself.

I think that they are all pretty much the same as well. I had this one:

DD really liked it and we used it from birth until she was 7 months old, although much less as she got older. Then she got stronger than the seat and it started to look a bit dangerous. I would go with whatever you can get the cheapest since you will probably want to get 2 and you don't use them that long.

We have the Baby Bjorn bouncer and love it:

http://www.babybjorn.com/us/products/bouncers/babysitter-balance/balance/

We also have the Fisher-Price Infant to Toddler rocker and love it as well. My older girls still use the rocker while the baby is in the bouncer. I do prefer the Bjorn for little ones, because the bouncing motion soothes my little ones better.

We had the Fisher Price Rainforest bouncer, and our baby LOVED it. We know 4 other families who got the same one, all their babies give it thumbs up as well!

We had an FP basic bouncer (with vibrate function) for both DDs and it was just fine. But, daycare has a FP rainforest rocker and my 1yo is obsessed with them. She's claimed both as her own and guards them! She outgrew her bouncy at home long ago so I think the rocker has more longevity.

We have the FP infant to toddler rocker too. DS has hated it since birth though. I try it every few weeks and he still hates it. Hoping someday he'll like the rocker as a toddler so it wasn't a total waste.

I got the rocker as a hand-me-down and also have a Fisher-Price bouncer. I don't think they are interchangeable. The bouncer is much better as a soother, and now that the little guy is bigger, he loves to get his legs going and see the toys move. I use the rocker in the kitchen, and the advantage is that it is higher off the ground and easier to reach while I am sitting at the table. My sister has the Boppy bouncer, and I like the FP one better because I think it's easier for the baby to get it moving on their own once they're a little bigger.

I think the FP ones have the best recline angle.

I used the Fisher Price Hoppy Days bouncer. It was a must-have item, but my DD was done with it by 5 months. She wanted to sit up on her own....but it was great for a newborn.

They are pretty much all the same. A comfy easy to clean print and vibration feature are key. Anything else is not necessary. My DD was obsessed with pulling the frog on her bouncy to make it play music.

Like PP have said all are pretty much good. My only 2 cents would be to pick as plain/neutral pattern as you can because you will ave a ton of picture of DC(s) on it and I wish mine didn't have the really busy pattern on them now when I look at those old pictures.

I love the Infant to Toddler Rocker! It was recommended when I was pregnant with my first son and I ended up buying another one for my second! They will both still sit in it (the oldest does it for a joke but it still holds him!!) I never had a "bouncer" - The rocker did everything I needed AND lasts a lot longer.

They're all the same and get used for so short a time. I recommend whichever one you can get cheapest. Plus this is GOOD advice:

I have like 50 bouncy seat pictures of each kid.

No, they aren't all the same!

The Baby Bjorn seat is much different, goes to a much higher weight (29 pounds, about 2-3 years), and imho is the best.

Here's the regular version: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GZJU4K/ref=asc_df_B001GZJU4K1400188?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B001GZJU4K

And here's the organic version:

29 pounds! Wowza. My DD will be 3 in March and she's 27 pounds. I think of bouncy seats as being something the baby stops being interested in using by around 6 months. Maybe others use it differently?

I agree they are pretty much all the same. We have a fisher price one that I've used with all 3 kids.

We had a FP kick n play bouncer for my son and it was a total waste of space/money - he never cared for it. I never would have bothered with bouncers again if 1. I wasn't haven't twins and wanted as many places to sit them down as possible and 2. awesome looking ones didn't come up on CL. I got 2 Boppy cradle in comfort bouncers for $20 each and they were awesome. Big, comfy, bouncier than the FP one - the girls used them till they were 2.

This it the current version -

eta - I am in the the are not all the same camp. ;)

My DS2 adores his chair. I need to get rid of it, as he's 30 lbs, but I seriously dread the fight.

Had a FP one for DC 1 and the bjorn for #2. The lay flat fold and low recline for the bjorn sold me on it. Sold ours on CL but if there's a #3 I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

Dc 2 kind of lost interest around 10 mo but now at 19 mo she sits in everything so I bet I we still has it she'd be happy in there

Boppy cradle in comfort bouncers

OMG, yes! This chair is like the Cadillac of bouncy chairs. It looked so comfy that I wanted to curl up in it.

I really like the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler rocker (http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Infant-To-Toddler-Rocker-Blue-Green/dp/B000WUB9O4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295679348&sr=8-1). It holds 30lb+ toddlers (my 4 yr. old), but DD2 is 9 mos. old and really likes it and she is starting to rock it. We had the Baby Einstein one for DD1 and she didn't care for it at all. She was one who would've much preferred the simplicity to the Bjorn bouncer chair (http://www.babybjorn.com/us/products/bouncers/babysitter-balance/balance/), but I never ended up getting another seat for her as she sat up pretty early and didn't mind the Bumbo seat for entertainment.

I am curious about what is new since DD was born 3 years ago...We had a Fisher Price bouncer for DD that is still in storage but the reviews for the Baby Bjorn are so good, and so are the FP rockers. I wonder if I should try one of those for something new. There are like 400 reviews on the rockers and some people swear by the bjorn.
