Anyone else really cold in 1st trimester?

I've found myself freezing some days...is this just the fluctuation in hormones? I don't remember this with either of my previous pregnancies, nor do I remember ever seeing it as a symptom. Just wondering?

I ran cold through my entire pregnancy and NOBODY believed me! Seriously, it was the weirdest thing compared to my sister and cousin who ran hot.

Heck, I bought a new winter coat even after my cousin insisted that I wouldn't feel like I needed it because I'd be getting hot flashes. (Oh no, I most DEFINITELY needed that doggone coat!)

This is my second pregnancy and I have been freezing both times. Just bundle up and enjoy it....I would rather be cold than sweating and constantly removing layers.

Thanks for the info. I guess in my last two I ran warm...not hot...just comfortably warm. For the first time I didn't need that extra office sweater all winter. I'd never heard of running cold.

Of course this LO has mama running to the bathroom way more than the last two, too...like they say, no two are alike!

I was freezing with Ds#2. I ran hot with DD#1 the whole time, and I normally run hot, so it was a definite shift with Ds. It didn't last though...maybe just through the first trimester.

I'm so glad you clarified this because I was super hot with my last pregnancy. This one, I have felt cold all the time. In fact, I didn't believe I was pregnant because I am so cold all the time.

I was cold the entire time last pregnancy. People were shocked that I was 36 weeks pregnant and wearing long sleeve cardigans in September.

I was really cold in my 1st and 2nd trimesters and I remember everything I read and what everyone told me was that I would be hot. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

I've been cold too! Actually had my thyroid checked a couple of days before testing positive. :ROTFLMAO:

OMG - so glad to hear this. I have been freezing for most of this pregnancy, but not during my first. My Dr. didn't even believe it was a symptom, but I did see some other website where people said the same thing. Seems to be getting a little better lately but for a while I was absolutely miserable.

I was freezing too until the weather started warming up. It sucked because I would get in the shower shivering, and then it would get too hot in there and I'd feel like I was going to pass out.

With my first DD, I was so warm the entire pregnancy that my ears turned red.
With this pregnancy, I was extra cold the 1st trimester. I lived in sweaters and had teeth chattering episodes. I thought something was wrong. I am now almost 25 weeks and the warmth has settled in.

I ran hot with my pregnancies for DS1 and DS2. However, I was freezing during my pregnancy with DS3! It was so bizarre. And even more weird, after having him, I have continued to always feel cold. I think I need to get my thyroid checked.
