I am sure this has been asked before but what do you consider a must for going in your bag? And how old is DC? DH and I are still trying to figure this all out. TIA:D

At least one spare change of clothes, if not two or three (DD has replux and is a frequent spitter-upper). A container with formula. A bottle or two (depends on how long we will be gone). At least 3 dipes, a travel container of wipes, boogie wipes, saline nasal spray, hand cream (more for me), a toy or linking rings for DD to play with, a roll of plastic bags for dirty dipes and clothes, paper changing pads, plastic stick-to-the-table placemats, tissues, sometimes a travel tube of Aquaphor. Yeah, I tend to take the kitchen sink with me.

For my newborn I have at least 4 diapers, but I have a pack in my car and a pack at gramma's house. Also wipes, a change of clothes, a blanket, diaper cream, burp cloth. That's it.

For my 2.5 year old, 2 diapers, 2 underwear, and a change of clothes. She is day trained but has the occasional almost-made-it accidents and sometimes we go over gramma's house and she ends up sleeping over.

Newborn is ebf'ed and I just buy food/drink for the 2 yo. when we are out.

DD will be 18 months next week. My diaper bag currently contains:

3-4 diapers
wipes
diaper cream
changing pad
pacifier
snacks
antibacterial wipes for restaurant tables, sticky fingers, etc
change of clothes
sippy cup or a straw - can always buy a bottle of water and give her a sip
couple small toys

little ziplock bag containing hand sanitizer, mini-sunscreen, infant advil, barrettes

if we're going out for longer, I usually bring a separate lunch bag for her as well

In the separate outside pocket is my wallet, phone, keys, lip balm

DS is 9 months. His diaper bag goes to the babysitters 3 days a week, so there's constant turnover of the contents. When it's just me on the go, I have:

Diapers
Wipes
Change of clothes
Washcloth (for cleaning up misc spills, drool, crumbs, etc)
Sippy with juice
Snack
Tissues
Lovey
If we are going somewhere he needs to sit quietly, toys or books.

When he was younger, the list was pretty much the same except spare bottle and formula instead of sippy and snack.

Overall, I tend to underpack it rather than overpack it.

My LOs are 4 months. My bag contains:

a change of clothes
6 diapers
2 burp cloths
hand sanitizer
wipes
2 pacifiers
2 on the go bottles of formula/2 nipples
a tiny roll of bags (Munchkin) to use for dirty diapers/clothes
a roll of masking tape (in case the tape on a diaper breaks)
a swaddling blanket
a changing pad
a stroller clip toy (singing little Elmo)
A&D ointment

In colder weather, if they don't leave the house wearing hats, the diaper bag also contains hats.

If we are going out for longer, I have a bottle bag with freezer inserts and I bring that along packed with premade bottles -- then there are no bottles in the diaper bag

Also, for me:
my wallet
a powder compact, mints and lipgloss
keys
