Anyone want to look at shoes?

I'd like to find a casual pair of low heel (about 1 to 1 1/2 inches) wedges in a pale neutral color. I think I'd prefer nude/tan/taupe. (Already have gray sandals.) I want closed toe. And slip on. And comfortable. I want them to wear with jeans, khakis and casual skirts/dresses.

I wear a 7 and my feet are a bit wide, but not wide enough to need wides. Keens, Borns, Eccos and Merrels usually work for me. I cannot wear Clarks.

I like these, but I think I'd like a paler color if I could find something.

Thanks!

Thank you! Those are cute. Unfortuantely, based on past experience, I would trash the suede chasing after a kid into mud in a New York minute. You can't polish patent, is that right? So if I scratched it, I would be out of luck??

dont know.. but i know that scratches on the light beige patent wouldnt be that noticeable. this is not a great time for cute neutral wedges w/ closed toe, is it? LOL i couldnt find anything else. good luck w/ your search!

I know. I must be terribly unfashionable. in addition to terribly picky. Not exactly news on either front. :rotflmao:

Actually I just read on a fashion blog that for spring you want neutral colored boot and booties. I am going to get these from Target for Spring:)

Cute! I have the Born Tour Booties in black and would love to get them in wet sand, but I think I'd get more use out of a pair of slip on wedges.

Just saw some tan suede wedges at DSW on clearance for 40% off=about $20. I almost got them. They had a crocodile "imprint' on the wedge portion. I wish I could remember the brand.

ETA: Very similar to this one, maybe even this brand, but a light, tan suede

Ooh, the red is hot. Wish I could think of an excuse for those. Too bad dh doesn't think heels are sexy or I could bill them as a Valentine's Day present for him. :hysterical:

hehehe. No, I think most men don't really care about shoes. After some of the threads on wedges here, I've really been into them as well. I found a great summer pair at a consignment shop for $7--Target, but brand new, red canvas with a brown leather trim and a rope wedge. Perfect with jeans and khaki's, I think. I've also found that I can wear regular length jeans (not petites) with wedges!

I just went back today and got the ones I linked to in "mushroom" suede with a croc imprint on the wedge on clearance for $22. I hope to wear them with nicer khakis this spring.

I see you wanted something a bit lower. 6pm has a lot of wedges:

OMG, I was just looking at my new In Style mag last night and wedges are ALL over the mag. Of course, they're all sky high with rope soles (for summer) and some even have the ankle wraps (not happening with my thick ankles and short legs). Of course, they're not going to feature more practical items in a fashion magazine.

Maybe this means some more wearable wedges will start showing up on Zappos, etc? I still haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. Trying to decide whether to compromise. . . . And on what.

I really like the second pair. Do you think the champagne color is white or silver? TIA

oooohh, glad to know they are still in style. :boogie: I have a bunch of them and summers are so short here it seems like I never get to wear them.

Op, sorry to high jack. I'll look for some wedges for you. I lurrrrve me some cute wedges!

That's right, the last one is just $10, plus extra 20% off (see below) and don't forget ebates too!

20% off when you spend $75 (i think it's only online) and free shipping too. easy enough to return to store if I don't like them, i'm at target every weekend.

Oh, those Target shoes are cute! Hmm, obviously this would be easier if I didn't want closed toe. Maybe that's what I have to compromise. But somedays my toenails are pretty shabby looking. . . . .
