Ritz Carlton St Thomas?

Anyone stayed here? We've got free airfare and RC gift cards redeemed from rewards points with our credit union. I'm looking for a weekend getaway with DH. Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!

DH and I were there for a conference last year (it was tough, but we took one for the team).

The good: The grounds are really, really beautiful. Service was very good. It was nice to have all the water sports included. It was also a short cab ride into Red Hook, to catch a ferry to St. John.

The bad: Our room was outdated, not too clean and a little smelly (mildewy). I've heard similar reviews of it elsewhere too. But it did have a big terrace with a great view...

Overall, I'd go again. It's paradise :-)

I've heard the RC is great but haven't stayed there.

I LOVE St Thomas... was our favorite port when we took our Southern Caribbean honeymoon cruise!
