child locator, etc.

We are planning several trips in the coming months and I am looking into either a child locator or harness. Has anyone used either? Any tips on which work, don't work, or other products that are useful? I have read some people do the temporary tattoos with mom and dad's name and cell number.

We have a harness I got from Target that looks like a little dog that rides on their back. There's a little pocket in his tummy to put something in if they really want to. DS is almost 2.5 and it works well for him. I swore I'd never use one but he is a wild man and the only way I can contain him is to have him wear that. He actually likes it and thinks he is carrying "Sparky", as he named him, around on his back.
