Quick help! Fever and rash

My husband woke up in the middle of the night feeling really sick with chills and nausea etc. I didn't take his temperature, but I assume he had one. He vomited 2 times. This morning I saw he had a red rash on his face (mostly forehead behind his ears and on his neck).

Is the rash caused by fever maybe?
Maybe it's the puking?
Could it be anything else?
Do we really need to see a doctor?

Was he sweaty with the fever? If so maybe the rash is heat rash?
Personally I'd wait and see. There's a viral GI bug going around and I wouldn't want to be stuck in a Dr office waiting room hoping not to puke. If the only symptoms are that limited rash, fever, and vomiting I'd give it 24-48hrs. If there are other symptoms or the rash spreads, then I'd consider calling the doc's nurse line first before going in.

Well I'd keep an eye on it for sure but personally would not rush to see a doc unless other symptoms came up. Could be food poisoning.
