Any romantic places near Chicago?

I want to get my sister a night at a relaxing hotel near Chicago, preferably someplace with a spa. I was thinking sometime next month. Hopefully, not too far away.

Any suggestions?

Well, she lives in downtown Chicago, so someplace outside of chicago. Maybe an hour or two outside Chicago.

Kohler (American Club) is nice, up in Wisconsin. The spa is supposed to be good too. Grand Geneva would also be nice for a weekend getaway. I have heard good things about the spa too.

The American Club is amazing. The rooms are beautiful and the spa is TDF. I think it is incredibly romantic since I got engaged there. ;)

I have been there twice and would go again in a heartbeat. It's simply heavenly. The spa is fabulous and the whole hotel is just cozy and comfortable. They have great off-season specials - sign up on their web site for emails.
