View Full Version : Playground scavenger hunt cards from Etsy?

Did anybody buy these? If so, would you please share the items on them. I wanted to buy some for Amaya's bday party but the seller is on leave from Etsy for who knows how long. I tried to message her, but got an auto-response. If nobody has them, then I'm sure I'll be back for suggestions for items if this uncrafty mama actually tries to make them herself.

The power of Google. ;) You might email them to check that they actually have them in stock since the manufacturer is taking a break. Good luck - they are really cute!

 I did my best google and came up with nothing. Thanks! I ordered them, hopefully she is just taking a break from Etsy. Will update if they arrive.

They canceled my order. :crying: The other Etsy link isn't exactly what I need (not enough items, I would have to buy 5 sets, and they aren't as inspiring). Thanks for the link though.

I'm seriously considering changing the theme/location for the bday party now. We were doing a park/playground party with a cupcake truck/paleta (popsicle) cart.

If anybody can think of an equally engaging park party activity please pass it on!

YOu could make your own cards. I'm not at all crafty, and I could make an amateur's version of those. Get some cute images off Google Image Search. Print and cut. You could laminate them, and tie with cute little strings.

That's the last resort and I am definitely thinking about it. I haven't come up with 30+ items to put on the cards though which is why I was trying to see if anybody could share the items on their set. I would much much rather buy some than try to make them though. My "projects" usually come out looking like 1st semester kindergarten. Arts and crafts is my least favorite activity.

Thanks geochick. It looks like the poster in the first link was looking for exactly the same suggestions as I am.

My friend did a scavenger hunt at an indoor playground - it was a lot of fun! She set it up like a "bingo" card with pictures of the items kids had to find and had them cross them off with a marker as they were found. I'm sure you could find images on the internet and set it up in a Microsoft word document.

Good luck! It's a great idea. I think I'm going to do one for my son's Elmo party in a couple weeks.

Dowlinal was planning on making a set based off those same cards for her sons' birthday party. Why don't you PM her and ask what she came up with. She is very creative and clever so I'm sure she has some really cute ideas. And I believe she was thinking about using a large wooden bead rather than a felt one. Those cards would be seriously easy to make.

I never saw the most recent posts in this thread. Thank you all for your thoughtfulness. I never got around to making these, and am delighted to report that the store has reopened. I'll leave this to the professionals.
