Since my 16 mos old is now over the weight range listed on the concentrated infant drops, I went searching for an expanded chart. Can anyone confirm that this is correct? He weighed 24 lbs 1 mo ago, so I would give him 1.25 x2 every 6-8 hrs.

Infant's Ibuprofen Concentrated Drops (50mg/1.25mL)

Weight-----Dropperfuls (Use dropper)
12-17 lbs--1=(1.25 mL)
18 lbs-----1 ½=(1.875 mL)
20 lbs-----1 ½=(1.875 mL)
24 lbs-----2=(2.5 mL)

That's how I read it. Hope he feels better.

Yes, that's correct.
One way to think about the dose is 10 mg for every 2.2 lbs (1 kg). So at 24 (close enough to 22) lbs he would get 100 mg or 2.5 mL (=1.25+1.25). So you're right on.

Thanks guys. Last night his temp was 103.6 and he was pretty uncomfortable, we gave him 1.875 b/c I couldn't recall the expanded chart. If he's still in need of it tonight we'll do the higher dose.
