Hi All -- Do any of you save photos direct to a portable drive? I don't like saving pictures on my computer's hard drive -- it seems to slow it down. Instead I download pictures directly into a separate portable drive (and back that up occasionally into another one).
I am trying to find a good way to organize those pictures, however. Lightroom is horrible with the separate drive, it seems to work best when its pictures directly on a computer's c: drive (anytime you remove the portable drive, it doesn't recognize the pictures and you need to "re-connect" it). I am looking into Picasa and PS Elements to see whether they can organize from a portable drive.
Any suggestions on other programs? Or tips as I look into Picasa/Elements? Thanks.
