So if you could only watch 1 hour of TV in a week what show would you pick? You can choose two 1/2 hour shows or one 1 hour show.

I'm still pondering what I would choose, but I think it would be Modern Family and Big Bang Theory OR Survivor.

Lie to Me....I'm watching it on Netflix and am totally addicted!!!

This show is GREAT! We netflixed it too, and we are behind in the current season. Now we can't wait for season 3 to come on netflix!

For the next couple of weeks it will be Big Love. When that's over it will be back to Parks & Rec and 30 Rock (or the Office, depends on my mood).

True Blood! When it's on. When it's not Modern Family or Big Love.

Modern Family. And then I would randomly decide the other show.

Can I read instead? With the tv off? Somehow I have gotten old and grouchy and the tv just annoys me most of the time.

We only watch 2 hours/week but slimming it down to one ;) it would be:
The Office and 30 Rock.

I'd like to get back to HIMYM and see if I like Glee any better now but no time. Modern Family also intrigues me because I see it mentioned so much here.

MMMommy
02-18-2011, 05:53 PM
That is a tough one because we watch way too many shows.

Fringe (one hr) or half hour each of The Office and How I Met Your Mother.

Masterpiece Theater (but its more than an hour) 2nd choice would be Glee
I would miss The Daily Show very much :(
Other than that I would be ok. I watch other programs but I truly wouldn't that many of them.

1 hour of TV in a week! that's rough, I don't think I can do this

True Blood, then Dexter, then Spartacus, then Big Love, then Fringe, then V, then comedy shows like Weeds, 30 Rock, Office.

Wow, I do watch way too much TV :duck:

lol, same here!! i am a tv junkie too :) every week it's Big Bang Theory, Outsourced, Two and a Half Men, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, Law & Order SVU. Also occasionally catch the Office as well.

DH & I swear we could NOT survive without TiVo/Hulu/Netflix! :)

:yeahthat: But I think I would reverse it and pick Parenthood for #1 and Glee #2.

By the way.. what do you think of John Corbett joining Parenthood? I've always found him really hot.. but he's so unnapealing as the Seth character.

And I just love Drew.. he's such a sweetie. I actually love all the characters on that show.

Assuming that True Blood, Mad Men and Breaking Bad are all not on then I'd have to say Top Chef.

I like the idea of one hour of reality: Top Chef or Amazing Race, I hour of drama: Parenthood (or TB, MM or BB) and 1 hour of comedy: Modern Family and 30 Rock. I clearly watch too much TV!

Phineas and Ferb with the other half hour some type of sports summary show. I'd be digging out a radio to listen to the hockey/football games, so doable I guess.

We do watch a ton of tv around here, but really I could do without them if need be. I picked P+F since I enjoy it and it's lighthearted and witty.

If I could pick 1 show per category I would pick "reality"-Survivor, drama-Criminal Minds, scifi-Sanctuary (until the new BSG show starts although I do enjoy V) and comedy- P+F.

Hmmm...a true toss-up between Parenthood and Grey's. I think I like Parenthood better, but I haven't missed a Grey's yet and I'm more brainwashed/sucked in to the characters there.

JC's not my cup of tea, I haven't liked him in anything since Northern Exposure (Chris in the Morning!), but I do think his Seth is pretty good... unappealing, but that's appropriate for the character. Drew is my favorite character on Parenthood. So painfully vulnerable. It killed me to see him wearing his dad's vest to school and getting teased for it.

I thought the same thing. He was so hot on Sex and the City and now on Parenthood, not so much. I wasn't sure if it was just how they've made him look on Parenthood since his character is a former addict, or if he really just wasn't aging well in real life. I saw him on Oprah a few weeks ago and thankfully, it's just the makeup on Parenthood that makes him look slightly skeevy. In real life he's just as cute and cool as he always has been ;)

First thought is Caprica (Battle Star Galactica spinoff)?

I will be embarrassed to have revealed my inner-nerd if it's a different BSG show....

They are 30 minute shows, you can have both! The last Californication I watched I thought I would die laughing when Charlie was manscaping. That show is kind of a recent addition for me, and it is so funny, love it!!!

What new BSG show?!

BSG Blood and Chrome. I sure hope it picks up where Caprica left off because that short "what happened next" at the end of the last show left me with more questions than answers.

DH and I enjoyed Caprica but it didn't get the ratings so we must not have had much company.
