My grandpa died last night.

Sam and I held my mother's hand as she held his and he took his last breath.

He was 89 and lived a full life and was ready and willing to go. We weren't close, but he loved the boys and smiled when he saw Sam. Seeing him actually go was more than I was prepared for.

I'm not really sure what the point is here, I guess I just wanted to 'say it out loud.'
