Hey. So maybe you saw my post about making the jump into smartphone land. Well I got my Droid yesterday! What a toy. Right now I'm learning the operating system as best I can.

I want to avoid dowloading a bunch o' junk but I also want to collect some cool aps. What are you must-haves?

So far a I have: iheartradio, a few games (Angry Birds of course) and Backgrounds. What else should I check out???

I have an iPhone, but I imagine these apps are on both platforms. If not, sucks to be you! j/k ;)

Facebook
Pandora
Netflix (if you have a subscription)
Shazam
Tapatalk
The Weather Channel
Urbanspoon
Mint.com
Starbucks Mobile Card
Red Laser

I'd second all of PP's recs.

unfortunately netflix doesn't have a droid app yet. there may be a 3rd party solution, but that is one negative about the droid os. I would expect, however that this will change, so keep checking on it. netflix does make an app for adjusting one's queue, however.

ETA: I also think that redfin is fun.

The ones I like so far are:

MyFitnessPal
pandora
piano (ok, not a Must Have, but if you're easily amused like DD and I, it is fun) ETA: called 'xPiano'
angry birds (of course!)
colornotes
I find google calendar really easy to use online and on the phone
I've heard good things about Astrid for todo lists etc..., but haven't figured it out yet
a free puzzle app and a free coloring app for dd (it looks like sprog has a little while lol)

unfortunately netflix doesn't have a droid app yet.

Will it play within the web browser?
